BEYOND HEALING: The Grace of Everything (Online Offering by Dillon Runyon)
$300.00

Conditioned love says, “I want you to feel ok.”

Divine love says, “I want you to be free.”

Many seekers are immersed in a path of healing, recognizing that some level of internal integration is necessary for spiritual growth. Eventually there comes a point when we are required to move beyond healing, deconstructing the holding container of ego itself. We eventually come face to face with an often painful process of our own involution. Together we will explore the chapter that is beyond the tending of our wounds. While I will draw from yogic philosophy, this is an intimate sharing - from the ground - of my direct experience as a western householder navigating the material plane with a deep longing and commitment to realize the Eternal.

Session 1: Innocence

Spiritual frameworks serve as maps, however, they tell you nothing about the terrain. Thinking that we can intellectually understand the Divine is a trap. What does it mean to fully accept the absolute state of not knowing with the innocence of a child?

Session 2: The Grace of Suffering

Many of us assume that if we align with the Divine we will drop with ease into a flowing river, getting what we want. Looking at the great bhaktas and sages over time there is zero evidence for this. There comes a point when the tests are progressively harder, building spiritual strength. Ultimately, we are led into a process that is brutally hard for the ego. When we truly accept this we realize that everything is Grace, and our suffering becomes bittersweet.

Session 3: The Generosity of the Seeker of Truth

Our ego naturally places itself at the center of the universe and, as a result, we feel separate from the world around us. Unless we work with our innate self preoccupation, the “I-ness” that is the very fabric of the ego/mind will remain firmly in tact. We can think about “Oneness” all day long, but this does absolutely nothing. We have to actually take steps that dissolve the barriers of everything that we see as “other.” In this session we will explore the erosion of the small self through contemplation, service and radical generosity.

Session 4: Satsang: the Ground of our Spiritual Unfolding

Sages throughout time have ceaselessly emphasized the importance of seeking the company of other spiritual aspirants. This simple idea is often wildly overlooked, and can be a radical “ask.” It is, in fact, an indispensable aspect of the foundation of our spiritual progress, sometimes requiring a difficult reorganization of our relationships and our daily lives.
